Join us on Saturday Sept 22nd 2018 from 1-4pm in the beautiful historic neighborhood of Olde Towne East to learn the techniques of Silk Ribbon Embroidery. This style is particularly suited to imitating nature and so we will be using gorgeous silk ribbon to create a floral design that can then be used as art or applied to clothing.

 

 

Larissa is best known for creating richly embellished couture corsets, under the label Wilde Hunt Corsetry. Her work has appeared in music videos and television, most recently PBS’ new period drama Mercy Street. She has been teaching courses in beadwork and embroidery for over 17 years at places such as the Columbus College of Art and Design and Byzantium, the popular art and jewelry gallery. The instructor has studied with the prestigious embroidery firm of Hand & Lock, embroiderers to the English royal family and looks forward to sharing with you some of the tricks of the couture industry.
